Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest Internal & Volunteer Communications

My role at Goodwill encompassed a wide range of public relations work for the organization, from events, to fund development, to advertising, to managing volunteers, to employee communications. Included here are examples of those last two pieces: employee communication, in the form of the monthly employee newsletter, and volunteers, in the form of the quarterly volunteer email newsletter and the volunteer and service-learning handbook information book.

I wrote most of the copy every month for the employee newsletter, including "ghostwriting" the CEO piece and researching and writing up blurbs on local events and finding other topics to highlight. Many of the photos each month were taken by me as well. The volunteer newsletter was something I started at the organization and was completely written, organized, and distributed by me. The handbook existed before I began at the organization, but I rewrote and edited all of the content during my time with Goodwill.
